FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES FOR 2012
Every year Children's Charities Association (CCA) organize three major fund raising projects to raise funds for the more than 75,000 less fortunate children under the care of our six member charities. The projects are Flag Day, Donation Draw and the Annual Fair & Walkathon. A brief description for the Flag Day, Donation Draw and the Annual Fair is as follows:

- CHINESE NEW YEAR HONG BAO
We will be sending out the Chinese New Year Hong Bao appeals to individuals and companies, two weeks before the Chinese New Year. We hope you will respond and make generous donations during the seasons of celebrations.
- The Donation Draw will be held on 2 June 2012. Tickets at $2 will be distributed and sold to the public by March. We require volunteers to help us sell these tickets. We hope to raise $200,000. The top 5 prizes are as follows:
- 1st Prize - Cash $10,000
- 2nd Prize - Cash $5,000
- 3rd Prize - Cash $3,000
- 4th Prize - Cash $2,000
- 5th Prize - Cash $1,000
We hope to give away 20 prizes. The 15 other prizes could be hand phone, F&B vouchers, study vouchers, cruise voucher, induction cookers and etc. The more items we receive to be used as prizes, the more we can lower the expenses in organizing the Donation Draw and more funds can be raised for the children.
We invite corporations or individuals to sponsor the Cash Prizes and printing of the tickets at approximately $5,000/-. Names of sponsors will be printed on the tickets if the items donated are to be used as a Prize.
We invite companies or individuals to purchase or help sell the tickets. The tickets should be ready for sale in March 2012. If you are interested to help us sell these tickets, please complete the form attached, and send back to us by fax at 67732596 or Email: ccassn@pacific.net.sg.
- The Flag Day will be held on 18 August 2012. Besides student volunteers, we hope to recruit adult volunteers from companies to assist during the Flag Day. The Flag Day will have 2 shifts, AM Shift start from 8am to 1pm and PM Shift from 12noon to 5pm. Our target is to recruit more than 2,500 volunteers to help us achieve the target of raising more than $50,000/- from street collection on the Flag Day.
We invite companies to partner us by sponsoring $10,000/- to help defray expenses of organizing the event. Logo of the sponsors can be printed on the Flag Day bags.
- The CCA Annual Fair & Walkathon is to be held on Saturday, 8 December 2012 at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza from 10am to 6pm.
For the 8th year, the Fair will start off with a 1.5km Walk along Orchard Road. The Walkathon will flag-off at 9.00am and end at approximately 10.30am.
The opening ceremony of the Annual Fair will be held at 11am. We hope to have Patron of CCA, Mrs. Mary Tan to officiate at the opening ceremony.
We will print coupons and posters. We hope your organization could assist us with the sale of coupons, display posters at your premises to help publicise the Fair. We require participants to set-up either food, games or handicraft stalls. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to Children's Charities Association.
Volunteers are required to help sell the coupons at $10 each. We hope to raise $200,000/- or more from the Annual Fair.
Your organization could also assist us by being a sponsor. We seek sponsorship of $15,000/- for the Walkathon and $30,000/- for the Annual Fair. Sponsorship of $15,000/- and above will be acknowledged on the event backdrop and posters to be displayed at selected SMRT stations. Sponsors will receive a token of appreciation to be presented by our Guest of Honour at the opening ceremony of the Fair. Whatever assistance you and your organization could offer would be greatly appreciated.
